£39,000 - £44,000 + Work From Anywhere & a range of excellent benefits!

Firefish was born out of a high-performing recruitment team and has gone from strength to strength over the last ten years.  As the second fastest-growing technology business in Scotland and with multiple award wins under our belt, we’re changing the way recruiters recruit, forever.  Our Get Back in the Fight campaign has meant that our business has thrived in these uncertain times, with new businesses joining us every day and more recruiters than ever #lovethefish.

Due to phenomenal success in 2020, we’re looking for an Application Support Team Lead to support and direct our App Support team in playing their part in ensuring we retain our place as the industry leader and stay ahead of the competition!

You're going to love this job if:

  • You thrive on seeing your colleagues thrive.  You're always encouraging, and your team feel comfortable in asking for your help as they know that you'll support them.
  • You love getting to the bottom of things! You get a kick out of finding solutions and seeing them through to implementation.
  • Communication is key to you, and you enjoy working with support teams, testers and fellow developers to find out the finer details of issues raised in tickets, and have the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical people.
  • You have top notch prioritisation skills to ensure that the App Support team are doing the right work at the right time.
  • You’re looking for a varied role where no two days are ever the same!

If you're our perfect next Fish you'll have already worked in tech support for a large scale application and enjoy finding creative and novel solutions when faced with challenging workload, and always strive to ensure that the backlog workload is capped and controlled.  You have experience of Agile methodologies (particularly those supporting object-oriented analysis and design, such as SOLID principles) and are fluent in C# and SQL Server, with good experience of ASP.Net and Web Architecture.  You're also fluent in JavaScript, and have experience in Angular and JQuery, along with knowledge of HTML/CSS.  You're comfortable and confident in controlling not just your own workload, but also those of the Developers in your team to ensure that no deadline is ever missed.  You can effectively lead and direct your team mates during investigation, requirement gathering and feature fixes to ensure that our application remains the best in the business!

In return, we offer the opportunity for you to work when it suits you from anywhere you want, with a team who are diverse, dynamic, supportive and fun!  We're pushing the boundaries and bending the rules, so if you want to be part of something ground-breaking, something different…join us!

Vicki will be in touch as soon as she’s reviewed your application.
