Content Editor

£26,000 - £30,000 + WFA & loads of excellent benefits!

Firefish is a multi-award winning recruitment software business (including being the UK's Best Talent Tech Company to Work For) and we’re responsible for building software that’s changing the way people recruit. We're riding a wave of success, but that doesn't mean we're dropping anchor where we are: we're continuing to innovate and grow, and now have an exciting opportunity for a Content Editor to join our Growth team to oversee our monthly content planning, scheduling and editing across all our digital channels.

Our blog - which is the main focus of our content - currently has over 10,000 regular blog subscribers and 19,000 monthly views, and our award-winning recruitment content has been recognised as one of the best industry blogs in the world.  As Content Editor, you have the opportunity to retain and grow our position as the content leader in the marketplace.

But don’t worry, you're not in it alone – our Growth team all help to provide content for you!  What we need you to do is organise, manage and lead our content plans.  To do this it's imperative that you have first-class grammar, a superb work ethic, and are a champion of great content production.

Our perfect next Fish has:

  • Sharp attention to detail – typos and spelling mistakes drive you nuts!
  • 18-24 months of running or managing a blog with over 5,000 subscribers, or in an established content marketing function
  • Excellent written communication, with examples of previous written work (blogs, articles, web copy, reviews – whatever you love to write)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Photoshop and InDesign)
  • A great approach to mentoring blog contributors and colleagues on best practice writing skills

Any of these will win you some bonus points (but they’re not essential):

  • Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a technology-related subject
  • Basic HTML
  • Experience with HubSpot or other inbound marketing platforms
  • Knowledge of the recruitment industry
  • Active on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other social networks

Why Firefish?

It’s a really exciting time to join Firefish. We're one of the UK's fastest growing and most forward-thinking, cutting edge SaaS companies. We've won loads of awards and accolades for our product, our service and our company culture. Each and every Fish in the shoal has a voice and is encouraged to make a positive impact, and is given all the tools they need to be able to do so. Not only that, you pick where you work in line with our Work from Anywhere policy! We want to offer our Fish flexibility when working so you can choose either full time remote working, or a combination of remote working and days in our cultural Hub.

To belong, you must feel included and valued. Firefish strives to nurture a culture where inclusiveness is natural and not a prescribed initiative. We appreciate that different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger, more cohesive work environment.

Our commitment to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience drives us forward every day.
