Are you a graduate in an IT-related discipline and looking to join a graduate programme with one of the top 3 fastest growing tech companies in Scotland, and the Best Talent Tech Company to Work For in the UK?'ve come to the right place!

Our Software Development Graduate Scheme provides the knowledge, support and technical training that you need to be a top class developer.  You'll join our high performing, award-winning team of full-stack developers, so you'll learn about front end, back end...and everything in between!  And it's also a permanent position with the shoal, so you won't have to look for another job once you've completed the programme.

The key technologies we use are:

  • C#
  • ASP.Net
  • AngularJS
  • JavaScript
  • AngularJS
  • SQL Server
  • SCSS
  • Web API

You'll gain experience in these technologies, but as well as ensuring you're fully equipped to produce code that follows industry best practice you'll also learn about the full product development lifecycle: everything from requirements analysis, design and development to support and documentation in an Agile SaaS company.

Our previous graduates are thriving in their careers with Firefish, and rated the graduate programme as "excellent".  They are now all working in their specific areas of interest - Application Support, Web Development, CRM & Integrations or Web & Analytics - but continue to benefit from ongoing mentoring with Senior Developers.

So what are we looking for in a Graduate Developer?

  • A degree in an IT related discipline.
  • A true passion for software development - whether this takes the form of some work experience or your own personal projects, we'll be keen to hear (and see!) why you want to be a developer.
  • Some exposure to C# and SQL Server - as they're our key technologies, you'll need to be able to get to grips with them.
  • A love of learning - you'll be doing a lot of that so you need to enjoy it!
  • A love of problem solving - software development involves solving lots of puzzles!
  • Great communication skills - you're not scared to ask questions, and enjoy talking through ideas with others.
  • Based in Central Scotland - our Hub is in Glasgow, and although we all work from home it would be beneficial for you to be able to meet up with your team when required so that you receive the right level of support to help you succeed.

Once you've completed your graduate programme, you'll continue on your Career Journey with Firefish so will have unlimited opportunity for progression and the guarantee of a challenging (in a good way!), fun and rewarding career.
